Swimming with Turtles in Hikkaduwa

This lucky person gets to see a turtle up close and even see it laying eggs. I would love to see turtles hatching and making their way to th sea although I would be terrified of unintentionally damaging the environment where they hatch. I have heard human beings can really cause damage.

The Lost City at Sun City

Sun City is a gambling resort first and foremost. The Lost City is based on the idea of an African fantasy, with the Lost City being a really nice hotel. I have never stayed at the hotel itself but did see the part of the Lost City. I was not impressed at the time - it seemed very artificial to me. Perhaps I had just seen the wrong part. Still, if you are in that part of the world, go have a look. You might even run into the character of Susan Dey of "LA Law" fame - her character got lost in the jungle in some or other movie and found this ancient civilisation. Actually, what her character had found was this casino resort. I wonder if, after being lost in the jungle, her character thought "Jackpot!".

A Voodoo Market in Benin

When I was in Benin, I had very little time to see anything. Unfortunately, the time that I did have was unexpectedly taken up by other things. So, you and I will both have to experience parts of Benin together in this video. If you do go to Cotonou, the capital, I wish you luck finding a decent restaurant or even one that actually opens its doors. I really do not understand how restaurants that seem permanently closed continue to survive.

Trans Siberian Express

The original Trans Siberian Railway was a huge achievement, going from one end of Russia to the next. It was and perhaps still is the longest railway in the world. Nowadays it is possible to travel in more luxury on the Trans Siberian Express. I really like some of the visuals in this video. Some of the buildings are magnificent.

Meet All The Celebs

Lady Gaga, Freddie Mercury, Daniel Radcliffe, Justin Bieber, Tom Cruise, Princess Diana, Liza Minnlli, Elvis, Albert Einstein, Hugh Jackman, Michael Jackson, Leonardo Dicaprio, The Beatles, Tiger Woods and so many more. You can meet all these celebrities or rather their dummy doppelgangers at Madame Tussaud's. Nowadays there are several branches of this famous wax museum but you cannot say you have been to Madame Tussaud's until you have been to the one in London.

The Vienna Opera House

I remember when I was there and saw the royal box. We were told it was not always used by royalty and could be rented by private individuals. I thought how wonderful it might be to sit in that box in this magnificent opera house. Of course, I might not like opera but, then again, I might be surprised as Billy Connolly was. I love the skit he once did on the opera. It was actually educational as well as being funny.

Kazakhstan

Kazakstan is one of those countries that evokes in me a sense of mystery. It is not on most people's tourists map but perhaps it should be. Actually, often the best time to visit a country is before it becomes madly popular with tourists. One day, one day :-).
